My Chicago Industrial Chess League team, the Rogue Squadron, got outplayed by our hosts, the Hedgehogs, in our last regular-season match this past Monday. But somehow we managed to win the match 3½-2½.
Dr. Mark Coleman wiped me off the board the last time we played, and he should have beaten me this time, too. Sometimes it is better to be lucky than good.
We may make the playoffs, but we can't seriously argue that we deserve to be in the playoffs.
