Summary:
One game, played every Monday. You can also register for an individual week if desired.

5-time winning Monday Slow champion Sam Tugendhaft will be giving 4 consecutive weekly lectures during this tournament.

Equipment:
Chess sets and clocks are provided by the CCC.
Location:
166 W Washington St, Chicago, IL 60602, Unit # 600
Sections:
Open Section: 1600+, 1500+ can play up
U1600 Section: 1599-1000
U1000 Section: below 999.
Format:
Four rounds (one per week) of G/90, inc/30.
Pairings will be designed to minimize rating difference between opponents (Monrad Swiss)
If requested, live rating may be substituted for the monthly supplement.
Schedule:
Every Monday (01/03-01/26) at 6:15 PM.
Check-in deadline is 6:10pm. Any players not checked in before then will receive a bye for that round.
Prizes:
For all sections: 1st place trophy or free entry to one future CCC tournament.
All children who score 50% or higher will receive a medal!
Registration:
Free! (CCC Membership required after two events.)
You can also register for just one week, if desired.
Transportation:
Conveniently located within 10 minutes of multiple L stations (Washington and Wells, Clark and Lake, Washington, and Lake), Ogilvie, Union Station, and the Kennedy.
Parking:
There is street parking, lots, and garages nearby.
Lecture Info/Schedule:
This lecture is free and included upon signing up for the Monday Open tournament. All registered players may participate!
Lecture runs from 5pm to 6pm on the 3rd and 4th week.
Games from the previous round will be evaluated in a group lecture the following week starting week 3 01/02 at 5pm.
Any participants rated 1600 and under may submit their games no less than 4 days in advance of the following round for the lecture. Submit games to: td@chichess.org.
