We are proud to announce our partnership with Envision Unlimited! Envision Unlimited is a full-spectrum care-taking organization that serves people with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as mental health challenges. The Chicago Chess Center provides services monthly to give educational and engaging chess opportunities to these members.

enrichment program

We work with Envision’s disabled members to create a supportive and fun environment for them to learn chess in! Chess helps these individuals develop focus, problem-solving skills, and thoughtful decision-making. Just as importantly, we aim to help them connect and engage with the Chicago community, and each other. Every game is an opportunity to build confidence, form friendships, and feel part of the community!

how you can help

Envision Unlimited members come to play and learn about chess at our center on Tuesdays monthly from 10am-12pm. If you are interested in contributing to this program please donate. To apply to be a volunteer, please email us at info@chichess.org
