166 W Washington St, Chicago, IL 60602, Unit # 600

Conveniently located within 10 minutes of multiple L stations (Washington and Wells, Clark and Lake, Washington, and Lake), Ogilvie, Union Station, and the Kennedy.

There is street parking, lots, and garages nearby.

Format

Open and Unrated Section, 4 rounds of 25+5. Unrated section is for scholastic players only.

Quads (3 rounds of 25+5) are available for players over 600 USCF.

Limited to 100 players.

Equipment:

Chess sets and clocks are provided by the CCC. 

Entry Fee

$24.99.

Awards

Trophies for 1st, 2nd, and 3rd in each section.

Team Prizes (top four players from each school's points will be tallied); trophies for the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place teams.

Trophies to the top player in each Quad.

Medals for anyone with a plus score (2.5 points or more).

Schedule

Room opens at 11:30 AM.

Round 1 at 12:00 PM, with subsequent rounds immediately following. Awards will be handed out after all rounds are complete. Tournament will roughly end around 4:30 PM.

This tournament is dual (classical and quick) rated.

Open and Quad sections require a USCF membership. Unrated sections do not.
